Young people who study in Romania must be encouraged to return to Moldova, candidate

The young people who study in Romania must be encouraged to return and work in the Republic of Moldova. Corneliu Radauta, who is the top candidate of Romania’s Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) for the post of diaspora senator, in a news conference at IPN, said this is possible with subsidization on the part of the Government of Romania.

The candidate said that each Romanian community with which he met in the current election campaign faces many problems, but one of these needs to be urgently solved – that of the young people who obtain Romanian nationality because their parents are Romanians and lose this nationality when the documents expire. A solution should be identified in the nearest future and, from the post of senator, he will have the power to do so that the law is changed and all the children who get the Romanian identity card or passport become Romanians with documents in order.

The candidate proposes two projects intended for the young people because, as he said, the future belongs to the youth. “I want all those who study in the Republic of Moldova and have a diploma to be able to find a job according to their profession, without going through that bureaucratic blockage and without paying a large number of taxes when they find a job in Romania for being able to work freely,” stated Corneliu Radauta.

His second project is to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by persuading young people who study in Romania to return home. “Those who study in Romania and want to return to Bessarabia should be subsidized by the Government of Romania so that they have a decent life here, in Bessarabia,” said the candidate.

In this connection, Corneliu Radauta gave an example, saying a person who studied in Berlin and returned to Moldova was able to do prodigious work in Moldova with a subsidy that this got from the German state. If the same formula is used in the case of Romania, a doctor who wants to return to Moldova after graduation will receive during three years a monthly subsidy of €300, which is the difference between the salary of a beginning doctor in Moldova (€200 de euro) and in Romania (€300). This project can bring professionals with European views to Moldova.

Parliamentary elections are held in Romania on December 11.
