Young people urge passersby to become involved in cleanup

A group of young people Saturday staged an event whereby they urged the Moldovans to take part in the nationwide cleanup campaign on May 12. The team of the project “Come on, Moldova” and volunteers went out with tools and washed a trolleybus, a police car and the street section in front of the Central Post Office in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Anastasia Pociumban, human resources coordinator within the project, said it was a simulation of the National Cleanup Day. The young people said they live better in a clean settlement and it does not take much time to clean up. On May 12, nationwide cleanup campaigns will be carried out in Romania, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The initiative appeared in Estonia and spread to about 100 countries. The project “Come on, Moldova” has an official website – hai.md – which contains maps with the settlements where cleanup activities will be performed on May 12.
