The International Day against Drug Abuse will be marked in Chisinau as well. The International Antidrug Center will stage a social concert entitled “No to Drugs” in the square “Unic” on June 26, at 6pm, IPN reports.

“The young people will be able to find out aspects of drug abuse. In Romania, 21% of the students take drugs. 70% of those who took marijuana shifted to heroine,” executive president of the International Antidrug Center Gigel Lazar told a news conference.

In Moldova there are over 150,000 drug users, with 10,000 young people fighting drug addiction in specialized institutions, said the Center’s vice president Zaharia Zanosiev.

Pictures with antidrug messages and information about the risks of drug abuse will be distributed at the concert that will involve Ion Paladi, Pasha Parfeni, Doinita Gherman, Vlad Ray and other singers who support this cause
