Young people from both sides of Nistru create platform to cooperate in business

Ten young people from the Security Zone and another 31 young people from the left bank of the Nistru River shared the best entrepreneurial practices in a conference staged by AXA Management Consulting and the Chamber of Trade and Industry in the Transnistrian region, where they created a cooperation platform that wall facilitate the development of the subsequent partnerships.

According to a communiqué of AXA Management Consulting, quoted by IPN, the young people shared their experience in starting and developing businesses and then worked on their business development plans, focusing on the identified challenges.

The young entrepreneurs were selected at as contest of business plans and benefitted from a grant of up to US$15,000, individual consultancy for a period of ten months and assistance in purchasing the equipment and raw material needed to start or develop the business.

The 41 beneficiaries bought the necessary equipment and started their businesses, creating already 150 new jobs.

The event forms part of a project financed by the European Union and UNDP within the Support to Confidence Building Measures Program.
