The young people who want to become volunteers within Europe Days in Moldova can do it by filling out a form by May 4. Sanda Sandu, project assistant at the National Legislative Youth Forum “Youth Parliament”, has told Info-Prim Neo that the applicants must be aged between 16 and 22 and speak English. There will be needed about 150 volunteers who will work at every embassy. They will help the representatives of embassies distribute brochures and will become involved in the activities carried out at embassies’ tents in the central square of Chisinau. According to organizers, the celebration of Europe Days in Moldova is meant to bring the European Union closer to the Moldovan citizens by celebrating its common value. Europe Day is also an opportunity to bring the European and Moldovan cultures closer by way of educational and entertaining activities in order to celebrate the common identity as Europeans in its full diversity. The young people who want to become volunteers must fill out the contest form that is available on www.eudaymoldova2012.org and http://www.parlamentultinerilor.md and send it to the email address eumoldova@parlamentultinerilor.md. The project is implemented by the “Youth Parliament” in partnership with the EU Delegation to Moldova. Europe Day in Moldova will be celebrated in Chisinau and Comrat on May 12-19. Tents of the embassies of the EU Member States will be put up in the Great National Assembly Square, as last year. The visitors of the “European Village” will be able to receive information about the languages, culture, traditions and cuisine of the European countries.
