Young members of “Dignity and Truth” Party present list of “absolutely honest people” at protest

Young members of the Political Party “Dignity and Truth” staged a protest in front of the Government Building after Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that 90% of the names that appear in the published summary of the Kroll 2 report are absolutely honest people.

The young people brought with them cardboard silhouettes of politicians whom they suspect of forming part of the “absolutely honest people” to whom Premier Filip could refer.

The protesters submitted a petition to the State Chancellery by which they ask to publish the list of beneficiaries of the funds stolen from the banking system, to open an international investigation, to hold accountable those to blame and to confiscate their property, to recover the money in cooperation with competent international entities and to dismiss all the persons involved in the banking frauds. Depending on the answer they will receive, the protesters will reserve the right to mount mass protests against the government.

Not long before the protest, in a news conference held to mark two years of work by the Government, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said the sentence “90% of the names that appear in the Kroll report are absolutely honest people” was formulated inaccurately by him and things should be looked at in the context of the whole statement.
