The young specialists working in district or village public health facilities will receive the lump sum intended for them as an undividable payment on one occasion. The Cabinet approved relevant changes to a decision concerning the provision of concessions to young medical and pharmaceutical specialists, IPN reports.
In six months after taking up their duties, the doctors and pharmacists will be fully paid the 120,000 lei allowance, while the midwives, nurses, pharmacy assistants, dental technicians and laboratory diagnosis medical assistants – the 96,000 lei allowance.
The Ministry of Health said the one-time allowances that were disbursed in three parts until now haven’t been motivating for young specialists as most of the times these do not cover the travel, accommodation and other types of expenses.
