Young man who published Baccalaureate exam papers identified

The police identified a 22-year-old man from Causeni district who is suspected of publishing the Baccalaureate exam papers in the foreign language on social networking sites. The young man admitted his guilt and faces a fine of up to 4,500 lei, IPN reports.

A civil lawsuit was filed against the young man. A request was made to the administrators of the social networking site ok.ru to block the young man’s profiles on this site.

According to the police, the test papers posted on the Internet turned out to be fake. There are no indications that the exams were fixed or that information about the exam papers was revealed.

The police opened an investigation after the Ministry of Education notified the Center for Combating Cybercrimes of the National Investigations Inspectorate on June 9.

The Baccalaureate exam in the foreign language was taken by about 16,000 candidates.
