A man aged 27 is suspected of firing at two girls aged 16 in Holercani village of Dubăsari district last night. One of them died in the hospital, while the second remains hospitalized with a number of wounds, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, after shooting at the girls, the suspect took the girl with whom he had a quarrel to the hospital and went away. The girl died as a result of the injuries she sustained.

The young man was later stopped on the Criuleni-Chisinau road. The gun was on him. He was remanded in custody. An investigation is under way.
