A 28-year-old man was shot dead from a hunter’s gun in a village in Telenești district. The police arrested a suspect with whom the victim was allegedly at odds.

Irina Burdujan, press officer of the Telenești Police Inspectorate, has told IPN that the police were alerted by a woman from Negureni village who found her son dead on July 25. It was established that the young man was home alone when the suspect entered their court. It is presumed that the victim opened the door and the aggressor shot him.

Irina Burdujan noted the suspect aged 28 was arrested at his home shortly afterwards. He does not admit his guilt. A criminal case over deliberate murder is to be started in this case.

The suspect faces 10 to 15 years in jail.
