A man aged 29 died when he crashed his car into the trailer of a tractor. The car overturned and caught fire, while the driver was unable to get out. It happened in Drochia district last night.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Drochia Police Inspectorate Ina Moscaliuc said the accident occurred close to 1am, at the entrance to Zgurița village. It was preliminarily demined that the driver was speeding and didn’t keep a distance from the vehicle moving in front of him. As a result, he crashed the car into the trailer of a tractor. The car overturned and started to burn and the driver died at the scene.

The breath test showed the tractor driver aged 24 wasn’t inebriated. The driver was taken to the Drochia District Hospital for being offered medical care.
