A 27-year-old man died in his own car after a gas cylinder he was transporting exploded. The tragedy occurred on Monday at noon in Slobozia village of the Transnistrian region, IPN reports, with reference to the press center of the so-called Ministry of Interior in Tiraspol.
The driver lost control of the steering wheel and the car skidded off the road, hitting a tree. It was then thrown back onto the road and hit a parked car. The man managed to stop at the next intersection, but the explosion occurred at that moment.
Witnesses to the accident called the firefighters. The fire was extinguished in ten minutes. The rescuers cut the lock and opened the front door of the car, taking the dead driver out.
A criminal case was started on this case. The vehicle was placed in an area that is guarded by the traffic police, as the local authorities said.
