Young man maltreated in April 2009: Better early elections than negotiations with PCRM
Damian Hancu, one of the young persons who were maltreated in police stations in April 2009, urges the leaders of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) to visit the families of Valeriu Boboc, Ion Tabuleac, Eugen Tapu, Maxim Canisev and another several hundreds of families who have suffered since April 2009 before opening the talks with the PCRM.
“I call on the leaders of the AEI to visit these families before starting the negotiations with the PCRM and ask them if they have the moral right to discuss with the PCRM following the crimes committed by the Communists in April 2009,” Damian Hancu says in an open letter quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Damian Hancu says that tens of thousands of Moldovans from the diaspora traveled hundreds of kilometers up to the polling places to cast their votes in order not to allow the Communists to return to power. “Better early elections than talks with a criminal party so that the decision is taken by hundreds of thousands of voters not only three party leaders,” reads the letter.
Damian Hancu is a victim featuring in one of the cases concerning the April 7, 2009 protests. The young men mentioned by him in his letter were found dead in that period, but only the case of Valeriu Boboc was related to the protests.
