A man was killed yesterday in a car accident on the Ungheni-Chisinau road. According to the Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic, a speeding car went out of control and overturned. A 28-year-old passenger died on the spot, while another one aged 30 suffered serious injuries. The driver was unhurt. Close to midnight, a Volkswagen collided with a BMW not far from Chisinau. The BMW was projected into a Mercedes. Consequently, the driver of the Mercedes and a 27-year-old passenger sustained cranial-cerebral traumas. A 25-year-old woman from the same car and another one aged 24 from the BMW suffered concussions. The driver of a Fiat tried to overtake a vehicle, but struck a cart near Carpineni village of Hancesti district. A woman aged 62 traveling in the cart received a cranial-cerebral trauma and a fracture of the nasal bones. A seven-year-old girl was hit by a VAZ-21021 while crossing the street in Volintir, Stefan-Voda. She was taken to the hospital with an abdominal trauma. One person was killed and 14 injured in 11 accidents on the national roads yesterday, October 3. Another 27 traffic accidents caused no victims.
