An 18-year-old adolescent died when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and crashed this into a pole in Opaci village of Căușeni district in the evening of May 27. The female passenger aged 16 from the same village was admitted to the intensive care section of the Căușeni District Hospital.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate Corina Repeshchuk said the young man was speeding and at a turn left the road and ran into a reinforced concrete pole. As a result of the collision, the motorcycle caught fire.

The teen didn’t have a driver’s license and the motorcycle was without registration numbers. According to the preliminary examinations, the adolescent was under the influence of alcohol.
