A man aged 22 perished in a house fire in Borogani village of Leova district in the morning of April 29, IPN reports.
The young man lived in a house together with his parents, but they had separate entrances. At about 3am, the parents saw smoke coming out of their son’s room and called the firefighters.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, after extinguishing the fire the firefighters found the body of the young man in the room.
Head of the Leova Emergencies Section Dinu Pascaluta has told IPN they are examining the version of a short circuit as the cause of fire.
As many as 52 persons died in the 652 fires that happened in Moldova so far this year.
