A passenger minibus and a car collided on the R-2 road in Tantareni village of Anenii Noi district in the morning of April 5. As a result of the impact, a man aged 22 died, while another 16 persons suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital, IPN reports.

The police said the driver of the car tried to overtake another vehicle and collided head-on with a passenger minibus running on the Varnita – Chisinau route. The passenger from the car died on the spot. This was from Harbovat village of Anenii Noi district. Most of the minibus passengers were hurt.

The alcotest showed none of the drivers involved in the accident was under the influence.
