A young man was killed and another was injured after their motorcycle was hit by a BMW car. The Inspector of Traffic Safety Service, Administrative Surveillance and Public Relation of Chisinau’s Road Police, Ion Roscovanu, informed Info-Prim Neo that the tragic event took place on Sunday at 20:50 at the crossing of Ierusalem Street and Renasterii Boulevard from Chisinau. The Yamaha motorcycle, driven by the 21 year old Alexei Brodescu, student of the State University of Moldova, collided with a BMW-318 driven by a 27 year old Comrat resident. As result of the impact, the driver of the motorbike was injured and his passenger, 19 year old Vladimir Lungu, died on the venue. An 18 year old was hospitalized in the reanimation section of the Emergency Hospital on Monday morning after a traffic accident. According to the medic-coordinator of the Emergency Service from Chisinau, Eufalia Negreata, the young man was driving a Dacia-Logan in the vicinity of the Vadul lui Voda beach. In full speed he hit a stationary water reservoir, and as result of the impact the young man was hospitalized with an open head trauma, cerebral concussion, mental shock and a plague of the chest. Sunday, a BMW-318 at the intersection of Ion Creanga and Belinski Streets hit a 73 year old lady, which was hospitalized with a head trauma, mental shock and fractures. Two women of 44 and 45 years, one of which inebriated, residents of Glodeni and Edinet regions, have been traumatizes after a Honda-Accord hit them on the viaduct, and were hospitalized with fractures. Over the last 24 hours, the road agents from Chisinau registered 12 traffic accidents with one casualty and another 4 traumatized. The same day, 21 drunken drivers were found.
