A man aged 26 died on the spot when he crashed his scooter he was riding with the lights off at night into a car parked by the roadside. His passenger aged 17 survived, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the accident happened in Elizavetovca village of Dondușeni district at about 11:00pm.

As a result of the impact, the driver of the scooter was projected onto the asphalt and suffered fatal injuries.

The driver and the passenger were from the same locality.

A criminal case was started in this case.
