A 43-year-old man and his 25-year-old son are being investigated in a forced labor case. They are suspected of depriving an 18-year-old man of his liberty and forcing him to work in inhuman conditions at a sheepfold in the south of the country, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate of Police, the actions took place since February. The young man tried to flee but was found by the two men in the town of Vulcănești and forced to work again at the sheepfold.

Under the law, a person guilty of such an offense is liable to 3 to 7 years in prison.
