A 21-year-old man who was accompanying a batch of ballots was killed last night in a serious accident on the Soroca – Drochia – Costesti road, not far from Rublenita-Noua village, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. The driver of the VAZ car that was transporting the ballots – police captain at the Soroca Commissariat - lost control of the car, which skidded and went straight into a tree. The driver was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, while the 21-year-old passenger who was on the front seat died on the spot. An investigation is under way. The nine accidents that happened on the national roads on November 28 resulted in one death and 11 persons hurt.
