A 27-year-old man perished on Wednesday morning in a road accident in Cimișlia district. Preliminarily, it was determined that he changed lanes to the contraflow lane and collided his car head-on with a minibus, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate said that the young man, who was driving a Toyota car, went out the wrong way and collided with a Mercedes Sprinter driven by a 39-year-old man. The impact occurred near Cenac village of Cimișlia district, towards Leova district.

Following the accident, the Toyota driver died on the spot, whereas the Mercedes driver was transported to the hospital in a serious condition.
