A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion that he smuggled drugs from the European Union into Moldova. The value of those drugs on the black market is about 600,000 lei, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS), hashish, ecstasy, MDMA and LSD drugs hidden inside an unaccompanied package were smuggled into the country through the Leuseni customs post. The drugs were to be sold through the online market in Moldova.
The young man was placed in pre-trial detention.
The illegal activity of the criminal group specialized in the smuggling and distribution of drugs on the territory of the Republic of Moldova was documented during four months by Border Police officers under the guidance of PCCOCS.
