A man aged 28 was arrested on suspicion that he had sexually exploited a number of girls, most of whom didn’t come of age, since 2016. If the victims put up resistance, they were maltreated or threated that pictures and videos of them naked would be published on the Internet, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate said the suspect recruited the victims through social networking sites. The girls were accommodated in apartments in Chisinau and forced to have sex for money. The announcements concerning the provision of services were posted and managed by the man.

The police established that the man sexually exploited at least six girls. The victims daily earned by 1,000 to 6,000 lei. The suspect used the money to buy goods, including a car.

The man was remanded in custody for 30 days. He faces up to 20 years in jail.
