A 20-year-old man from Rezina district was arrested during the burial of his girlfriend whom he beat during an hour and killed. He will serve 15 years in jail for murder, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to the communiqué, the two lived together. After a quarrel, the man took an electric cable and hit the woman approximately 40 times. Then he punched and kicked her for about an hour, until she died. After the incident, the young man disappeared, but was caught three days later at the girl’s funeral. The 25-year-old girl had a minor child from another relation. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
