Young farmers will receive larger subsidies
Starting with 2013, the farmers younger than 30 will receive subsidies that will be by 10% higher than for other farmers, vice director of the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture Nicolae Ciubuc has told Info-Prim Neo.
Nicolae Ciubuc said that the young farmers will get a preferential loan of at most 300,000 lei for a five-year-period, with 40% of the loan representing a grant.
The financial support provided for apple orchards will be 15,000 to 30,000 lei per hectare, depending on the area. “An agricultural producer can receive financial assistance for one area only once. The smallest area for apple orchards is 0.5 ha, while the largest area is 30 ha, for the same producer,” said Nicolae Ciubuc.
For planting cherry, sweet cherry, apricot and plum orchards, the state will provide assistance of 10,000 to 20,000 lei per hectare, while for planting grafted walnut trees, almond trees, and hazel trees – 15,000 lei per hectare.
Subsidies of 35 million lei were provided in 2012 for planting apple orchards, while for irrigation by dripping the state offered subsidies of 4.5 million lei.
