Lidia Jardan, project coordinator at YMCA Moldova, told a press conference at IPN that the YMCA volunteer school will be a project to engage and train volunteers in various fields. The aim of this project is to provide a platform for those interested in volunteering to develop their skills, enrich their knowledge and contribute to the wellbeing of the community in an efficient way.
Those who will apply to the program will have to be ready to participate in training seminars organized by YMCA and led by experts in the field, in theoretical and practical activities organized by YMCA staff, in events, fact-finding visits, international and national projects. Thus, says Lidia Jardan, the personal and professional skills of each volunteer will be developed and awareness and involvement in social and environmental issues will increase.
