Heavy rain and sleet were forecast all over Moldova for April 10-11. The wind is expected to intensify, IPN reports, quoting the State Weather Service.

The heavy precipitation can lead to floods in lower areas, near rivers, and the sewerage systems can be blocked. Soil erosion and mudding are also among the anticipated risks. Field crops can be bent to the ground. The drivers are warned to be attentive on the road.

The business entities managing lakes and ponds are recommended to make sure the levees are in a proper state. The drainage channels should be cleaned.
