The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code advisory for wind at the start of winter. On December 1 and 2, the western wind is expected to intensify to 17-22 meters per second, IPN reports.

The wind speed in parts is forecast to reach 23-25 meters per second. The strong wind could thus down dry trees and branches. Some of the constructions can remain partially without roof.

The electric power supplier Red Union Fenosa said the gusting wind affects the functioning of the power networks and can cause situations of insecurity. It warns the population to strictly obey the security rules in relation to electrical installations in emergencies or accidents.

The next days, daytime temperatures will vary around 5 degrees Celsius, but are expected to rise towards the weekend.
