Weather forecasters issued a yellow code warning for sleet and strong winds all over Moldova for the night of January 18. Snowdrifts will form in parts. The northwestern wind will blow at a speed of up to 15-18 m/s, IPN reports.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, heavy rain and sleet is expected in southern Moldova starting with 6pm today, January 17. The precipitation will total 15-20 l/m2.
Daytime temperatures will oscillate between -2 and +3 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures between -2 and -7 degrees Celsius. On January 18, the temperatures will be much the same - -3…+2 degrees Celsius during the day and 0…-5 degrees Celsius at night.
On the weekend it will be slightly warmer.
