The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code advisory for heavy rain with thunder and lightning and strong winds for the period between May 31 and June 1. The atmospheric instability will last until June 7, while temperatures will decrease to 20 degrees Celsius.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the National Weather Forecasts Center Victoria Moiseichev said the rain comes from the west and will spread to the east. The heaviest precipitation will fall in the northern and central districts of the country.

A new yellow code warning for rainstorm may be issued on June 4.
