The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code warning for fire for the period between May 29 and June 4, IPN reports. According to weather forecasters, owing to the rather long period of drought, there is a great danger of fires.
The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service warns obeying the anti-fire rules and avoiding starting fires near vegetation as these can spread very quickly, especially when the weather is dry and windy. If dry vegetation needs to be burned, the fire must be monitored so as to prevent it from spreading to forests or houses, said the Service’s press officer Diana Turcan.
Those who intend to go for a picnic must start a fire only in specially designed places and must monitor it.
