Forecasters extended the yellow code advisory for cold weather until March 24. In the period, the average temperature will remain by 6-11 degrees Celsius below the normal values.
According to the head of the Weather Forecasts Center of the State Hydrometeorological Gennady Rosca, it will snow moderately on March 23 and 24. Heavier snowfall is expected in southern Moldova.
During March 22-24, the temperatures will oscillate between -5 and +1 degrees Celsius during the day and between -7 and -15 degrees Celsius at night.
It will grow warmer as from March 26. Daytime temperatures will oscillate between +5 and +10 degrees Celsius and will rise to +8 … +13 degrees Celsius until March 29. Nighttime temperatures will vary between -2 and +1 degrees Celsius. In the southern districts, temperatures will increase to +4 degrees Celsius at night.
