In connection with an approaching southern cyclone that will cross Moldova, the State Hydrometeorological Service issued a yellow code warning for bad meteorological conditions for the period between 6am on February 8 and twelve midnight on February 9, IPN reports.
According to weather forecasters, it will rain heavily, especially in the southern and central districts of the country. The precipitation could reach 15-20 liters per square meter. There will be mainly sleet in northern Moldova and hoarfrost will form on cables and tree branches. The eastern wind will intensify to 15-20 meters per second.
The temperatures this night will range between +2 and +4 degrees Celsius. On February 9, temperatures will vary between +4 and +9 degrees Celsius. It will grow slightly colder from February 9.
