Meteorologists issued a yellow advisory for atmospheric instability, which is valid until Wednesday evening. There will be torrential rain with thunder and lightning in most parts of the country and also with hail in the northern districts. The issued heatwave warning is no longer valid from July 3 as the weather conditions change and the temperatures will decrease in the coming days, IPN reports.
The State Weather Service said that 15-49 l/m2 of precipitation will be recorded in most parts. The wind will blow from the northwest moderately and will intensify in gusts of up to 15-20 m/s. There will be a risk of local flooding as the level of water in some small rivers is likely to increase by 0.20-0.60 meters.
The minimum air temperatures at night will vary between +17..+22 degrees Celsius, while the highest daytime temperatures will oscillate between +25..+30 degrees Celsius, in the north – between +20..+24 degrees Celsius.
In connection with the warning for atmospheric instability, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations noted that in case of strong winds and heavy rains, the people must urgently take shelter in a building or car away from electric wires and trees, which can fall on the vehicle. In order to avoid fatal situations, the citizens are urged not to touch or step on downed cables.
In case of risk and exceptional situations, the people should urgently call the 112 Service.
