The tree branches that fell down as a result of the mid-April snowstorms were collected from all the yards of apartment buildings in Chisinau, Igor Munteanu, deputy head of the General Public Amenities Division stated in the September 4 meeting of officials of municipal services and divisions, IPN reports.

Igor Munteanu said the workers of municipal enterprises last week collected 104 trucks of tree branches from yards of apartment buildings and adjoining areas. More than 6,500 trucks had been collected during four months, which is by over 1,000 trucks more than the annual average.

In another development, the Division’s deputy head said the works to prepare the housing sector for winter are close to completion. The materials needed to repair roofs were supplied last week and the works are to be finished in several weeks.
