WTO will create 5 information centers in Moldova

The World Trade Organization will create five notification and information centers in Moldova: two hosted by the Ministry of Economy, one hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, one by the Ministry of Finances and the fifth by the State Agency for Intellectual Property, Info-Prim Neo reports. Their function will be to develop and provide notifications and information about the changes of the current Moldovan legal framework regarding international trade. More precisely, the information will concern the licensing regime, the negotiation of tariffs, the signing of regional or bilateral preferential trade agreements, the application of antidumping, safeguard or compensatory measures, about the mechanism of examination of trade policies and other issues. Creating the centers is in line with Moldova's efforts to fulfill the requirements of the negotiation process on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU, including to eliminate all non-tariff barriers for trade and to respect the principle of transparency.
