World War II veterans to receive by 600 lei

The veterans of the Second World War will be distributed by 600 lei, while the war widows by 500 lei on the occasion of May 9. The money is available from the branches of Banca de Economii, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall, the district head’s offices are giving charity meals for veterans today, May 8.
Throughout last week, there were organized lessons involving World War II veterans in the municipal schools. On the occasion of the Victory Day, the municipal administration, in concert with organizations of the national minorities, also planted an alley of trees at the Memorial Complex “Eternity”.
In the municipality of Chisinau, there are about 1 000 veterans of World War II.
