Representatives from 34 countries have announced their participation in the World Junior II (14-15 years) Ten Dance Sport Championship and the International Dance Sport Competition “Chisinau Open 2010” that will take place at the Palace of the Republic on October 9 and 10, Info-Prim Neo reports. At the World Championship, Moldova will be represented by pair Alina Milinceanu and Alexandru Barca, the president of the Dance Sport Federation Petru Gozun, who manages the dance sport club "Codreanca”, told a news conference. The pairs will compete in the standard program (Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Fox, Quick Step) and Latin program (Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive). The International Standard and Latin Chisinau Open Competition includes several age categories. Six of the best 12 dance sport pairs of the world will take part in the competition. Three of them are from Moldova. The jury is composed of referees from 13 countries, Petru Gozun said. The competition is organized by the Dance Sport Federation of Moldova and the dance sport club "Codreanca”. A cosmetics company is sponsoring the event. Moldova has participated and organized championships since 1994. About 450 pairs will participate in the competitions this year.
