The World Falun Dafa Day is celebrated today in Chisinau. The supporters of this method of training the body and mind this morning held an information meeting in front of the Supreme Court of Justice and plan to stage a protest in front of the Embassy of China in Moldova in the evening. Falun Dafa supporter Leonid Botnarenco has told Info-Prim Neo that they aim to inform the people about the existence of such a discipline in Moldova as most of the Moldovans do not know about it. The initiative group that seeks the registration of Falun Dafa Organization in Moldova tries to reach the souls of all the people, including officials. “Such informative actions are carried out in the central park in Chisinau every Saturday. The followers show exercises. The people express interest. When we tell them that the supporters of this discipline in China are persecuted by the Communist regime there, they are shocked,” Leonid Botnarenco said. He specified that on the World Falun Dafa Day they staged the event in front of the Supreme Court of Justice because the court is examining today the Moldovan Ministry of Justice’s appeal against the decision of the Court of Appeals that allows the founders to register the public association Falun Dafa in Moldova. So far, the Ministry of Justice has rejected the application of the initiative group four times, invoking that the documents submitted do not meet the legislation. The Ministry does not want to accept the Falun emblem, which is identical to the Nazi swastika. The supporters of Falun Dafa say yet that the swastika is a very old symbol that represents the eternal motion of the Universe, the wheel of life. “The Falun Dafa discipline does not have a political character. It is based on truthfulness, compassion and forbearance,” Botnarenco said. The member of the initiative group for the registration of the association will hold a peaceful protest in front of the Embassy of China on Wednesday evening. They will demand that the Falun Dafa supporters in China stop being persecuted. “This inhuman persecution gravely violates the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and is a direct threat to the dignity of the entire mankind, regardless of race or nationality,” Leonid Botnarenco considers. Falun Dafa or Falun Gong is a spiritual discipline founded in China by Li Hongzhi in 1992. It has five sets of meditation exercises and teaches the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. The teachings deal with issues such as "cultivation of virtue and character", "moral standards for different levels", and "salvation of all sentient beings." The discipline is now used in 80 countries of the world, including Moldova.
