A delegation of the World Bank is paying a visit to Moldova during October 16 – 24 to inform itself about the priority areas for additional financing within the Moldova Education Reform Project. Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc had a meeting with the delegation on October 16, IPN reports.
Monica Babuc informed the delegation that 11 of the 16 project implementation indicators have been met.
The delegation’s head Andrea Guedes said the World Bank experts came to Chisinau to assess the results achieved so far and to reach an agreement on the activities that will be supported with a new loan.
The WB team is to provide assistance in implementing the PHRD-funded Integration of Children with Disabilities into Mainstream Schools Project and to also examine the request to transfer a part of the initial loan to the Social Investment Fund for renovating more schools.
The Moldova Education Reform Project is a specific investment loan projected for April 2013 – August 2018.
