Works by great Romanian master Corneliu Baba exhibited in Chisinau

Works made by great Romanian master Corneliu Baba reached Chisinau for the first time. The exhibition “Corneliu Baba. Artist of Profound Realism” was mounted at the National Museum of Arts of Moldova, IPN reports.

About 60 important works borrowed from arts lyceums of Romania and from private collections can be admired by art lovers from the Republic of Moldova owing to the cooperation between the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova and Art Safari.

The exhibition opening involved secretary of state of the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova Adrian Dupu, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Moldova Sergiu Prodan, Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Cristian-Leon Turcanu, director of the National Museum of Arts Tudor Zbarnea, director general of Art Safari Bucharest Ioana Ciocan, and Vladimir Bulat, a member of the International Association of Art Critics.

Corneliu Baba was often named a Rembrandt of Romania. His works can be admired until October 29.

The project is financed by the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania.
