Working people adopt resolution on improvement of situation in Moldova

The working people who gathered at a solidarity meeting in central Chisinau on May 1 adopted a resolution by which they aim to improve the situation of the salary earners in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. The people who came together in the Great National Assembly Square expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that illegal labor still persists, the salaries continue to be paid ‘in envelopes’, while the young people do not have well-paid jobs and have to go to work abroad. The resolution envisions promoting the national producers, creating workplaces with decent salaries and appropriate conditions, increasing the minimum pay at least to the minimum subsistence level, imposing work limits so as to prevent the exploitation of employees, stopping the increase in fiscal pressure on private individuals’ incomes, etc. The representatives of trade unions, employers and the Government said they will continue to promote an open and transparent policy within the social dialogue and called on the working people to join efforts with a view to building a better life.
