Working group for cooperation with Russian State Duma set up in Tiraspol
A ‘parliamentary’ working group for cooperation with the State Duma of Russia was created in Tiraspol. According to the local press, the decision was taken by the Supreme Soviet on February 13, following a decision to constitute a joint Russian – Transnistrian commission for the harmonization of the Transnistrian legalization and the Russian one, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The group consists of 16 Supreme Soviet deputies and is headed by Mihail Burla.
The similar group created earlier in Russia includes representatives of four State Duma factions. It is led by MP Sergey Gavrilov, who also heads the commission for property.
The decision to create the commission was preceded by an international conference themed “Harmonization of the Transnistrian legislation and the Russia one – main way for developing Transnistrian statehood”, which was held in Tiraspol on February 6.
