The autumn cleanup campaign in Chisinau will continue until November 30. Workers of the housing management enterprises will rake the green spaces and sweep the courtyards of apartment buildings. The collected leaves will be taken away for composting. The cemeteries in the municipality will also be taken care of.
Officials of the General Housing and Amenities Division told IPN that special attention is paid to children’s playgrounds, sports fields and public transport stations. The sidewalks will also be swept and solid waste collection platforms will be maintained clean.
The district head’s offices will ensure the cleanup of parks in the managed areas and the disposal of the waste collected there. Garbage containers will be washed and disinfected and their number will be increased, if necessary.
The Division warns the population that the burning of waste, including vegetative waste, is prohibited. Those who violate this restriction face fines.
