About 30 managers of apartment buildings from Botanica and Ciocana districts of Chisinau took part in a meeting with the administration of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC). In the meeting that involved representatives of Icon-Institut and district head’s offices, the managers were informed about the work of the company and discussed existent problems and possible solutions to them, IPN reports.
In a press release, ACC says the implementation of the €64.8 Priority Investment Program financed by the EBRD and EIB was an important subject for discussion. Deputy technical production director Adrian Cecan said a number of modern machines, including excavators and specialized equipment, were already delivered within the project. These enable to increase the company’s operational efficiency and reduce the works execution time and intervention costs.
The procedure for signing individual contracts with consumers was another subject discussed in the meeting. Vladimir Mocreac, ACC client relations director, said there is no legal prerequisite for signing direct contracts with apartment building dwellers. Individual contacts could be signed when the National Agency for Energy Regulation approves a distinct tariff for the installation of water meters and the tariffs needed for signing the given contracts.
In the questions-answers session, members of the water users committees posed a number of questions about the payment of the difference in the used and metered volumes of water, installation of meters that enable distance reading, imposition of penalties, etc.
