Goliador-SS-11 Real Chisinau finished last in the seven qualifying group of the Women’s Champions League that took place in Cyprus on August 8-13. The Moldovan team suffered defeats in all the matches played, IPN reports.
The team trained by Victor Greapca was beaten by ASA Tel-Aviv (Israel) and Nové Zámky (Slovakia) 0-6 and by Apollon (Cyprus) 0-1.
Last year, Moldova was represented by Noroc Nimoreni, who scored a goal and received 28 goals in the qualifying rounds.
Codru Chisinau achieved the best result in this competition. In the 2001-2002 season, it reached the basic groups of the Champions League.
The new national women’s football championship starts on September 7. Starting with the 2013-2014 season, every participating club is obliged to have teams of seniors and juniors.
