Woman with COVID-19 connected to assisted ventilation feels worse

The state of health of the woman infected with COVID-19, who is on mechanical ventilation at the National Clinical Hospital, has worsened, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu informed in a press briefing in the morning of March 17. The condition of the other infected patients is medium grave and satisfactory, IPN reports.

After the meeting of the National Focal Point, the minister said that 15 of the 29 confirmed cases of infection with the novel coronavirus are cases of import. The persons returned from Italy, France, the UK and Switzerland. Another 14 cases are cases of local transmission recorded in Chisinau, Hâncești and Soroca.

Nine of the infected persons are aged between 60 and 69. By five patients are aged between 30 and 39 and between 50 and 59. Four patients are aged 40 to 49, three are aged between 20 and 29 and three are aged between 0 and 19.

The persons who spread the epidemic disease face fines of up to 50,000 lei or at most three years in jail. As regards the non-observance of the infection prophylaxis, prevention and combating measures, if there is a danger to public health the fine is of up to 25,000 for private individuals and of up to 75,000 lei for legal entities. Fines of at most 25,000 lei will be imposed on those who will intentionally present false or incomplete personal data in epidemiological forms or will refuse to complete these.
