A 35-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital after she was involved in a road accident in Costesti village of Ialoveni district. She was walking along the sidewalk when she was struck by a truck, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic, the truck was hit by a Rover and thrown on the pavement. The woman suffered serious traumas and was admitted to the reanimatology section of the Chisinau Emergency Hospital. The same day, a man aged 71 sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma when his tractor overturned on the Otaci – Edinet road. Two VAZ cars struck two pedestrians in Chisinau. A woman aged 38 suffered fractures of the pelvic bones, while another one of 88 sustained different injuries. Sixteen persons were hurt in 12 accidents on the national roads yesterday and last night. The traffic police identified 50 drunken drivers, 58 motorists traveling unbuckled and 118 speeding drivers.
