A woman from Bahmut village of Calarasi district is investigated for stabbing her son and for trying to hide the murder. According to the police, the crime was committed when the 32-year-old man started to quarrel with his brother aged 24 and the woman tried to calm them down, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Ministry of the Interior said the police were called by the woman’s second son. He said that he found his elder brother in the house in a puddle of blood. When the police arrived, the man was dead. He had a stab wound in the left scapula. When questioned by the police, the woman said that in the evening of February 12 her sons, being under the influence of alcohol, began to argue and then to fight. Trying to separate them, the woman stabbed the elder son with a kitchen knife. The police established that the woman tried to hide the crime. She hid the knife behind a nightstand. As she thought that the wound wasn’t serious, she laid the victim down on a bed. But the man died in several hours. The woman faces up to 15 years behind bar for deliberate murder.
